Welcome Charleston Surgical Hospital to Vandalia Health
CAMC welcomes Charleston Surgical to CAMC Health System and Vandalia Health. The transaction to purchase a majority share in Charleston Surgical Hosptial was finalized in late September 2023 with all necessary regulatory and governance approvals in place.
The hospital is made up of a diverse group of specialty care physicians who have provided high quality inpatient and outpatient surgical services for decades. Existing management and employees will remain employed by Charleston Surgical Hospital.
The hospital will be named CAMC Charleston Surgical Hospital as part of the CAMC Health System, operated as a separate hospital. CAMC will work with physician owners to expand services available to the community and provide additional capacity for specialty procedures.
