Tim Murphy is Director of Clinical Environmental Services at Mon Medical Center.
Murphy is dedicated to maintaining a safe environment for patients, visitors and staff. No matter the situation, he consistently ensures issues are handled quickly, professionally and with genuine care.
One example that truly stands out was when the dermatology department expressed concern about patients having to walk barefoot on floors that had become dirty throughout the day. Understanding the importance of both patient comfort and infection prevention, Murphy personally ensured the floors were thoroughly cleaned. He completed the work efficiently and carefully without disrupting patient care or clinic flow, allowing the department to continue caring for patients seamlessly.
Murphy’s reliability and sense of urgency are something staff across the organization have come to depend on. Whenever an environmental concern arises, whether it is a spill, cleanliness issue, safety concern or unexpected situation, one phone call is all it takes. Within minutes, Murphy arrives ready to help, always with a positive attitude and a smile on his face. He never makes staff feel like an issue is too small or inconvenient; instead, he approaches every concern with professionalism, compassion and a true desire to help others.
