Heroes of Healthcare: Teresa Harriman
Teresa Harriman, CRNA, works in Anesthesia at Vandalia Health Mon Preston Memorial Hospital.
In May, Harriman was called to the ICU to assist with intubating a patient. She demonstrated exceptional teamwork by supporting and educating the hospitalist on duty to ensure safe and effective care.
Later, when concerns arose, Harriman willingly returned to the patient’s bedside without hesitation. She went above and beyond by assisting further, offering to accompany the bedside nurse to CT, and continued to advocate for the patient’s needs.
Following the CT scan, Harriman ensured the patient received timely and appropriate care. Throughout this situation, she brought the team together, fostering collaboration and clear communication to deliver the highest level of care.
