Heroes of Healthcare: Sonia Godbey
Sonia Godbey, RN, BSN, works in the Vandalia Health Telemedicine hub in Lewisburg.
Godbey had a patient come for an appointment but was in acute distress and was sent to the emergency room to be evaluated.
He told her he had his small dog with him in his vehicle. During a previous ER visit, this patient had signed out and left due to not having anyone to care for his dog at the time.
Hearing this, Godbey assisted in finding care for the patient's beloved dog so the patient could get the care he needed without the added worry.
