Heroes of Healthcare: Rose Williams

Rose Williams works in Laboratory Services at Vandalia Health Webster Memorial Hospital.

She has worked at Webster Memorial Hospital for 20 years, beginning her career here as a CNA before eventually finding her way to the laboratory. Over those years, she has become one of the most knowledgeable, dependable and respected members of our department.

Williams is meticulous when it comes to patient specimens and understands the responsibility that comes with working in the laboratory. She is also someone who notices what needs to be done and simply steps in to do it.

After 20 years, she is still interested in learning, attending chemistry analyzer training, conferences and has taken additional coursework through Pierpont simply because there was an area of the laboratory, she wanted to understand better.

Williams is one of the first people to lead new projects or processes and encourages her coworkers to take pride in their work, learn more and understand why what they do matters.
