Heroes of Healthcare: Hannah Cramer
Hannah Cramer is a CT Rad Tech in Diagnostic Imaging at Vandalia Health Mon Preston Memorial Hospital.
Cramer was instrumental in assisting with a critically ill patient who required an emergent CT scan from the ICU.
Cramer met the team, transporting the patient to imaging, and began clearly and openly communicating to all care team members how the group was going to transfer the patient from the inpatient bed to the CT table.
Before moving the patient, it was discovered that the patient required an additional IV to not interrupt medication administration for IV dye administration. Cramer immediately provided all supplies to place an IV in the patient. Within a few short minutes an IV was established and the patient received the CT scan.
Cramer's knowledge of her care area, adequately stocked supplies and critical thinking saved several minutes in this time sensitive event.
