Heroes of Healthcare: Alan Walters
Alan Walters, is an echo tech in the Diagnostic-Imaging department at Mon Preston Memorial Hospital.
A patient called to notify Preston Memorial Hospital how wonderful Walters was when performing both of her echocardiograms. Originally, she had an echo prior to having a pacemaker placed and needed to return for a follow up test.
She said that Walters explains everything as he goes along, ensuring the patient is comfortable throughout the exam. She stressed how good he is with people along with being very patient. Walters is kind to everyone he meets such as patients, other employees and visitors.
Walters is an excellent echo tech and has had nothing but compliments from all students that have been placed with him. One of his students now works there at least partially due to the kind and compassionate care and educational encouragement by Walters.
