She is being recognized for the way she maintained composure while dealing with several negative issues.
She wasn’t feeling well on the day Shaffer was scheduled to orient a new hire.
She made it to work despite a severe snow storm. Shaffer knew her pipes at home were frozen. Later, during her shift, she found out that her pet goat had died while she was at work.
She continued to stick it out and work.
Shaffer’s resilience and positive attitude was inspirational to the new employee.
