Heroes of Health Care: Kimberly Justice
Kimberly Justice works in registration at CAMC Teays Valley Hospital.
While checking in for her procedure, the patient told Kimberly that she was nervous and scared about her procedure. Kimberly assured the woman that she would take care of her and help her in every way possible.
Once finished with the registration, Kimberly told the patient that she would be praying for her and positive results. The patient then asked Kimberly if she would pray with her in the moment. Without hesitation, Kimberly agreed. They held hands and prayed together. The patient then thanked Kimberly and expressed how much better she already felt.
Kimberly took a very stressful situation of fear and nervousness for the patient and turned it into something memorable and positive.
