On a cold, icy night, patients and visitors watched through a window as a family member struggled to push a discharged patient to their vehicle.
Without hesitation, Johnson hurried to the couple and insisted on escorting the patient to their vehicle at the far end of the parking lot.
She helped them get inside safely. The patient described this act of kindness as “life-affirming and deeply meaningful,” stating that they “felt seen, cared for and protected at a moment when they needed it most.”
